Wholeness ~ A Dynamic Balance

Wholeness is a dynamic state of balance, equanimity and poise that allows you to move with ease from one mode of consciousness to another, in response to changing internal or external conditions.

Balance DOing and BEing

There are two basic modes of consciousness that need to be in balance to allow for the felt experience of wholeness and balance. Each mode of consciousness reflects particular attitudes that effect how we perceive and shape the way we relate to ourselves, others and the situation.

Take a look at the chart below. Which side do you recognize as the one you live in most of the time?

To make a good decision, a choice that has your best interests and highest good, in mind, you need to be able to shift from one mode of consciousness to another, at will.

Shifting from BEing to DOing and from DOing to BEing is facilitated by developing attitudes selected from the list you want to experience more of. You can create a sense of threat (stress) or opportunity (excitement) by envisioning specific scenarios. The scenarios or visions you create stimulate mental activity and can help you shift perspective, transcend the situation and move into a timeless, neutral zone – a grounded, centered way of being that gives you the freedom to make an informed choice, on your terms.

“Moment by moment we choose and sculpt how our ever changing minds will work, we choose who we will be the next moment in a very real sense and these choices are left embossed in physical form on our material.”  Mike Merzenich, Neuroscientist
