Therapeutic Touch Practice Group Meeting: Thursday, April 16, 2020, 2 – 4:30 pm

Therapeutic Touch (TT), a gentle, energy field healing modality that touches individuals at all levels of their experience physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. It is based on the scientific understanding that matter and energy are vibrational in nature and essentially of the same stuff.

Scientific research and experience show that Therapeutic Touch, Krieger/Kunz method:

• Relieves stress, pain and anxiety
• Promotes deep relaxation and healing
• Improves sleep and wellbeing
• Enhances the body’s natural healing process
• Promotes balance and wholeness

Therapeutic Touch training balances theory and practice with discussion, meditation, experiential discovery exercises to optimize integrative learning and develop students’ inherent healing ability.

Upon completion of the course, students are able to join the Dorothy Ley Hospice (DLH) TT Community of Practice! Attend and provide TT healing sessions at DLH Wellness Days* for hospice clients, staff and volunteers. By invitation – only available to Hospice volunteers who have received their 30 hours of hospice training.

Pre-requisites: None! Healing is an innate ability developed with training, practice and continuing education.

Receive a binder with handouts and a Certificate of Participation for Therapeutic Touch Levels 1 and 2, and opportunities for mentoring and supervised practice.
