Your Morning Ritual or Getting out of the house in style

Your Morning Ritual1For a professional woman with a family, getting out of the house on time and with sense of style can be a real challenge. Meeting the needs of everyone involved as well as her own, is a real juggling act that can affect her mood and her performance  for the first half of her day.

Like any juggler developing their skill, a good success strategy is to imagine and really picture the ideal morning ritual as if, already real – In the ideal world, what does it look like, feel like? What’s happening?

Once you see, in your mind’s eye, just the way you want it in a way you can believe is possible, you’ve got a great start. Manifesting this vision in reality is, of course the challenge…where ideas are tested.

As a coach, I help people first assess their situation and accept their reality….whether you have limitless resources or none to spare; whether you have a supportive partner; your distance from work, travel time etc…identifying all the various factors that impact on the situation. Once we see them clearly it becomes a whole lot easier to consider options and make some informed choices.

Your Morning Ritual2“How do you want it to look – to be – to feel like?” is one of my favorite questions. Creating the image of the ideal as if already real is a great exercise that helps you get clear on what you want, shift perspective, identify the challenges and see creative new possibilities at the same time  as recognizing what’s already working. Once you know what you want we break it down into chunk-size mini goals that inspires you to take action for positive results.

If your morning routine saps your energy, it definitely needs tweaking. Transforming boring routines that don’t work into positive rituals where everyone willingly and joyously performs their part to contribute to the harmony of the whole is a process that engages and helps build a culture of co-operation and family fun.

Positive rituals also give you a chance to share and model some core values which may include: courtesy, fairness, punctuality commitment, respect for others, family, harmony, responsibility. Coaching helps! Take the first best step. Contact us  for a free 30 minute discovery session.
