Committing to the Healer’s Path
If you want to go on with your studies and personal growth on the healing path, you can choose to become a Recognized Practitioner, Therapeutic Touch. To continue on this path, you must first become a member of the Therapeutic Touch Network of Ontario. and then order your Practitioner Workbook.
Becoming a Recognized Practitioner
Achieving Recognized Practitioner status is guided by the Practitioner Workbook and represents a commitment to practice that takes a minimum of one year to complete. Commitments include:
- 32 hours additional study with at least one other Recognized Teacher, Therapeutic Touch. These may include repeats of Basic Level workshops plus 1 other TTNO-approved Continuing Education Workshop
- Completing the Practitioner Workbook consisting of 50 Unsupervised Case Studies, 15 Supervised Case Studies, 10 Received Sessions and 10 Reflective Journals.

A Mentorship Training Program to help Dedicated Students of Therapeutic Touch Achieve Recognized Practitioner Status
The Healer’s Path is a mentorship training program to help dedicated students achieve Therapeutic Touch Recognized Practitioner status. It is a path of personal growth, developing awareness, confidence and competence as a Therapeutic Touch practitioner.
The Healer’s Path is a professional Therapeutic Touch Recognized Practitioner program designed to help you meet the learning and practice requirements set by the TTNO within a 12 – 18 month period and includes:
- 18 hours of personal mentoring/coaching support
- A minimum of 75 hours of Therapeutic Touch practicum (sessions plus reflective practice)
- 1,000 = 1,500 word written assignment
Each mentorship training program is custom-designed to meet the unique needs of the student. The program may include participation in the Kaizen Healers’ Circle, Continuing Education workshops, repeats of Basic Level Workshops or practice development coaching offered at 50% regular cost.
Knowledge and Competencies of the Recognized Practitioner Therapeutic Touch:
- Conscious full engagement of the practitioner’s own vital energy
- Compassionate motivation to help or heal
- Ability to work from a centre of clarity and sustain centre throughout session ( p.17) Inner Workbook
- Skill at rebalancing healee’s human energy field toward wholeness and balance.
- The continued centering of the healer’s consciousness as a backdrop to the Therapeutic touch process itself.
- The therapeutic use of the vital-energy field
- The knowledgeable use of the practitioner’s own chakras
- The use of breath in the expression of intentionality
- Mind to mind communication, particularly for those who are in critical condition, near death, or unable to communicate
- The expression of compassion as power.
